I'm continuing my series of photo's I just recently re-discovered in my photo library from my honeymoon a while back! Hope you enjoy this one! Kauai is so beautiful, I can't wait to go back someday!
An Iridescent (Rainbow) Cloud in Himalaya
I observed rainbow (iridescent) clouds early morning on October 18, 2009 from trail to Khumjung, just 500 meters from road fork to Gokyo and Tengboche. I was ahead of my friends, so when I met my Annapurna buddy, who was going to Khumjung (to see Yeti scalp) I decided to go with him for a while. We sat on stones to talk and drink my green tea and suddenly I saw this spectacular phenomena . It was my first time I saw this phenomena and luckily I had my Nikon D90, so I was able to capture it…
Rainbow in the Surf
A blowhile throws mist into the air, creating a rainbow in the surf. You never know what treat is going to be in store for you a few feet down the trail! The only way you'll ever find out is to get out and be there when events like this occur. I'll have to look up the rare combination of sun angle, sun height, and tide which enabled this to happen.
Never Never Land - Rainbow in the Rain Forest
This rainbow was God's gift to our group after we finished hiking up a landslide in the rain at the highest point on Yapen Island in Papua, Indonesia. We're pretty sure this proves the discovery of Never Never Land from 'Peter Pan', though we didn't have time to hike down to check. Yes, the rainbow was this vibrant; no HDR or special effects added.
