Perlenbeutel - antique beaded bag - like the ones we inherited from Mumi by alison

mid 18th C. Small purse made with approximately 40,000 glass breads, and closed with a plaited silk drawstring. Each quarter of the purse depicts a rose or pansy flower. Glasgow Museums, The Burrell Collection E.1943.71.[1]

Small decorative purses are often associated with gaming in the seventeenth century. Players would place them on the card table to hold their coins.
