AN IZNIK POTTERY DISH OTTOMAN TURKEY, CIRCA 1580 With sloping rim on short foot, interior with a central cusped blue ground cartouche containing a symmetrical arrangement of two pairs of red & white striped tulips alternating with red & white flowerheads, all springing from central tuft, cavetto with white & red saz leaves on green ground, white rim with paired red tulips & simple blue flowerheads, exterior with alternating blue paired tulips & green roundels, 12in. (30.6cm.) diam.
