Because of the bad cold weather this year, the Northeast has no beautiful annuals the cost is way too high and the quality is terrible.. I am taking a cue from this picture and using English petite boxwoods in my larger planters they look phenomenal all year round they do not grow fast and you'll have greenery during the colder months I did go out to a few farms and got a couple of nice geraniums in a couple of other plants but basically this is what I'm doing this year.
