Can you believe this
While up in the rainforest area of Volcan Tenorio we hike in to Rio Celeste with the blue waters. The blue comes from the minerals in the water. Until recently you could swim here. They've been trying to improve the area with the new stairs which I'm sure makes it a lot saver because of the moisture making everything slippery. You can still hike up the trail farther to a place were they allow limited access to the water, because many people come for the potencial healing qualities of the…
Hey friends, The wife and I made a day trip to Ricketts Glen yesterday. The last time we were here it was too sunny to get anything decent and we both had horrible headaches (we ended up fighting and almost killing each other). This time was much more enjoyable. I really wanted to come away with at least one decent photo and of the three I took this ended up being the winner. I found one more great spot but unfortunately a group of people were camped out right in front of the waterfall…

Autumn - Take 3
Third time in as many weeks trying to get this shot at optimum seasonal colour (see image in the comments). Autumn seems to be as random as the rest of the seasons have been this year... whilst most of the leaves have been blown away elsewhere, some places, like here, are steadfastly hanging in there! Exposure: 0.6 sec Aperture: f/11 Focal Length: 17 mm ISO Speed: 100 Please view larger, if you have the time. .

One of the iconic natural features of Ponytail Falls is the cave that rests behind the falls which is not at all an unusual element in this area (Upper Latourell Falls, Wahkeena Falls, Tunnel Falls all have caves as well) but this was the deepest cave allowing you to sit and picnic if you wish comfortably away from the mist and moisture of the cascading…
It Was A Good Day
"Just waking up in the morning gotta thank God I don't know but today seems kinda odd No barking from the dogs, no smog And momma cooked a breakfast with no hog." - Written By Nobel Laureate Poet: Monsieur Ice Cube. Last Saturday was a good day! 6:20 Started the day out with my usual "what in the %&$* am I doing up this early breakfast" - a 44 oz Pepsi and Hostess Crunchy Doughnuts - very good. 6:30 Met Sheldon and Dad (Steve) at the Salmon Creek Park and Ride to carpool to Eagle Creek…
This is Bridal Veil Falls along the Richardson Highway near Valdez, Alaska. Of all the waterfalls I've ever shot, this is my favorite. This photo was published as a poster by Galaxy of Graphics a couple of years ago and is available in 2 different size poster prints. see www.galaxyofgraphics.com/ArtistPrints.asp?ID=158
