In my cabinet I have a small Persian painting also from the Iranian in laws of my cousin. Mom treasured her Iranian gifts. I can also remember her telling me how worried she was about the ensuing revolution that occurred with the overthrow of the Shah...mom wrote on the back, like she did with everything, for my darling daughter.
