This is a great exercise for students in grades 2-6 as a precursor to any lesson on shading with color and understanding the difference between color and value. It is also a great worksheet for Halloween! Introduce the shading technique of color value by pressing and lightening up on the pencil. Students should fill in the values of the shading bar using one color. They should use those shades to fill in the pumpkins.
