Babur, Zahir-ud-din Muhammad Babur, also written Baber (1483-1530), founder of India's Mughal/Mogul dynasty (1526-1707). The name of the Empire comes from the Persian word for Mongol as Barbur was of Mongol ancestry. he was a descendant of Genghis Khan through Chagatai, the second son of the greatest Mongol leader through his mother. Babur's second Hindustan campaign, he is shown riding a raft from Kunar back to Atar during his second Hindustani (Indian) campaign.
