An exquisite pair of Japanese inlaid ivory and Shibiyama vases, in the manner of Sadayuki, Meiji Period (1868-1912) The rounded bodies of each rising from a quatrefoil pedestal lotus base, and extending to a slender and flared rim, reserved on an okibirame ground with formalized foliage in gold hiramaki-e, and further detailed with dragons, each similarly inlaid with mother of pearl depicting precious vases brimming with blossom, lillies, chrysanthemum and other spring flowers, reserved against
