Sewer Pipes Ring-Verb
Here's a cool PT2399-based circuit designed by David Edgar (DIYSB member Earthscum). He describes it as, "kind of like playing in a sewer tunnel..." Here's a link to the original schematic and discussion over on DIYSB. I noticed the schematic image in the DIYSB thread is now broken, so I've drawn up a new one for reference here.
Gas Pedals DumbBell
Got a request for this one. It's an overdrive that's supposed to get you into Dumble sound territory. There are 2 versions of this pedal out there, a one knob version (with just a volume control), and a 3-knob version that the layout below follows.
Seymour Duncan Dirty Deed
Here's a pretty interesting distortion from Seymour Duncan. 2N3906 transistors for hard clipping and a two band gyrator EQ section. Originals I assume are all SMD and use MC33178 ICs, which I believe are equivalent to the LM833, but other dual opamps should work fine. Schematic here. Should be able to squeeze it in a 1590B with small profile jacks.
Perf and PCB Effects Layouts
Had a couple requests for this one. Very cool design and story behind this circuit. Note, the 120pF cap right below the Boost pot, and the 10uF cap just above the LED are present in the original design, but not connected. Check out Aion's trace blog for more info and schematic. Also, use the 1981 DRV drill template for this one.
Here's a unique overdrive design by Bajaman over on FSB. You can build it with either a buffered bypass or true bypass. If using true bypass, omit the 1k resistor below the lower TL062, and the 1uF cap and 100k resistor connected to the BP Out pad. To wire for buffered bypass, connect the In pad to the input jack, the FX Out pad to lug 1 of the footswitch, lug 2 to the output jack, and the BP Out pad to lug 3. More info and schematic over on the FSB thread. Thanks to 287m for sharing his…
