The first time that Scout ashamed was when she was fighting with Cecil Jacobs. She left the fight and walked away. "'Scout's a cow-ward!' ringing in my ears. It was the first time I ever walked away from a fight.
Jem and Scout are close and they spend their times with each other. However they are brother and sister so they have argues sometimes. Aunt Rachel says your name's Jeremy Atticus Finch." says Scout to Jem, to make fun of him.
Scout, Dill and Jem are best friends in the novel. They hang out everyday. Scout thinks that Dill is a great friend but he looks more younger than he is. Jem thinks in the same way as Scout; "You look right punny for goin' on seven." Jem says.
