A LARGE IZNIK POTTERY TANKARD  OTTOMAN TURKEY, CIRCA 1640  Of tapering cylindrical form with angular handle, the white body decorated with alternating large green and blue saz leaves and large red flowers curving to the left, with smaller red flowers in the interstices and a register of red flowers leaning to the right near the base, a band of interlocking red and white triangles at base and mouth,   9 7/8in. (25cm.) high
