AN IZNIK POTTERY DISH OTTOMAN TURKEY, CIRCA 1630 With sloping rim on short foot & of shallow form, white interior decorated with large roundel of densely entwined white foliate tendrils with red highlights around a small central rosette, all reserved on green ground, within triple black ring radiating blue & green stripes with red motifs in the interstices, rim with grey stylized wave & rock motif with green & blue highlights between further black rings... 10¼in. diam.
AN IZNIK POTTERY JUG OTTOMAN TURKEY, CIRCA 1565 Of baluster form on short foot rising to flaring trumpet mouth and with simple loop handle, the white body decorated with stripes of cobalt-blue and bole-red, bands of blue and greenish-turquoise above the foot, at the waist and below the mouth, mouth slightly chipped, hairline crack to mouth, handle with slight restoration 9¼in.
