Upon arriving in Sydney, I encountered several references to the Flannel Flower (Actinotus helianthi) -- which apparently is seen as a symbol of the area. I encountered this specimen while hiking along the cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean in the southeastern suburbs of Sydney.
