Umbrella Mosses Hypnodendron is a genus of mosses in the family Hypnodendraceae in the major group Bryophytes (Mosses and liverworts). They are commonly known as Umbrella moss and Palm tree moss. Hypnodendron is a genus of large dendroid mosses found mostly in south-east Asia and Australasia, where they are a prominent component of many wet forest floras.
