Shakespeare Garden - Northwestern University, Sheridan and Garrett Roads, Evanston, IL, USA. Chicago Landscape Architect Jens Jensen designed the Shakespeare Garden in response to the Drama League of America's request for activities to commemorate the 300th anniversary of Shakespeare's death (1616). The garden is separated from the street by 6-ft hedges and planted with the flowers, herbs, and trees mentioned in Shakespeare's plays. The garden is approximately 70 feet W and 120 feet L.
