Helen Meyer Community Center is now hiring a Tennis Instructor Assistant to navigate participants once the newly resurfaced tennis courts open. This position will be responsible for supervising and instructing children in tennis. To apply, go to our website.
Whitney Recreation Center offers Adult Open Gym Basketball. This program is offered on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM. $2 for a daily pass or $12 for a monthly pass. Clark County Parks and Recreation’s Aquatics Program is now recruiting individuals 15 ½ years and older to work as lifeguards, cashiers and water safety instructors for the 2021 summer season. Clark County offers multiple lifeguard and water safety instructor training classes in the months of March, April and May at Aquatic Springs Indoor Pool (Fort Apache and Warm Springs), Desert Breeze Indoor Pool (Spring Mountain and Durango) and Hollywood Indoor Pool (Hollywood and Charleston).
On Saturday, March 28 from 1 p.m. through 3:30 p.m. the Clark County Shooting Complex will host its 10th anniversary celebration. Community members are invited to attend and try out our recreational sport shooting under the guidance of a skilled instructor.
Test your luck in the pool at the Luck of the Lap at Aquatic Springs on March 16-20. Raffle tickets will be given for every 225 yards swam for youth (ages 17 and under) and every 500 yards swam for adults 18 and older. The more you swim the more chances to win!
Playmakers Flag Football League at Walnut Recreation Center teaches your child the fundamentals of the game through age-appropriate skills and drills. Our flag football program is geared toward developing your child's love for the game, as well as teaching sportsmanship that extend far beyond the playing field.
Parents, enjoy an extra evening of Valentine's Day and drop your kids (ages 6-12) off at Aquatic Springs for Parents' Night Out on Feb. 15 from 4-8 PM. It is $17 to sign up before the event or $20 on the day of the event. Sign up in person or online.
