AN IZNIK POTTERY DISH  OTTOMAN TURKEY, CIRCA 1600  With sloping rim on short foot, the white interior with central roundel on green ground, with pair of affronted lions and below, a lion in profile looking out frontally, enclosed in alternating blue and red cusped motifs and radiating black stripes, the cavetto left plain, the rim with alternating wave and scroll in blue, black and green, the exterior with alternating green roundels and blue trefoils,   12¼in. (31.2cm.) diam.

AN IZNIK POTTERY JUG  OTTOMAN TURKEY, CIRCA 1620  Of slender baluster form on short foot with flaring trumpet mouth & simple loop handle, decorated in cobalt-blue, bole-red, green & black beneath the clear glaze with five white ogival cusped cartouches containing ovoid panels of green fish-scale reserved against the blue ground, small heart-shaped white & red cartouches in the interstices, a band of black & white stylized marbling along the base, double white band with green fringe  8 1/8in.
