4th OF JULY FIREWORKS & U SING AWESOME!
What would the 4th OF JULY be without parades, bands and especially fireworks? I shudder to think!!! I can bring the parade and band to Primary, but how do you bring the Fireworks? That was a toughie. Here is what I came up with from supplies I already had on hand. I'm sure if you don't have some of these things, you can come up with a hybrid of your own. FIREWORKS Items Needed 6-8 Balloons per JR and SR group depending on how many songs you plan to sing Red, white and blue curling ribbon or…
Lip Sync Review
Singing in Primary - LDS singing time ideas and singing time lesson plans for Primary choristers, Primary music leaders, and music in Nursery.
Singing Time after the program
Tomorrow, after the program, there is still Singing Time. Impossible to imagine, but I have to be prepared for the singing time after the program. Generally the kids are restless, tired, worn out from singing the same songs over and over and they are ready for something new. I bought this disc game from Oriental Trading and a very clever friend of mine did some vinyl lettering to change it from "Halloween disc game" to "singing time plinko". So the numbers represent either the chance to pick…
Pioneer Day is July 24th. In my church, we have yearly celebrations to honor the sacrifices of the early pioneers, some of whom walked away from everything they had to follow their new found faith. 5th Sunday FUN!
Every 5th Sunday I have the opportunity to use the full 35-40 minutes. Each category has the corresponding program song. 7 songs, 7 categories. Service is from the month September in the outline. We learned a song in February about that topic. Here is the basic plan and I hope to post pictures at a later date. Category type game: Set up like Family…

Some Primary Chorister Ideas
So, I don't remember if I mentioned this, but I got released as secretary for primary and instead am now the CHORISTER! I've only done it two weeks, but I have to say, it's probably already my favorite calling ever. Less planning than when we were teachers, more interacting with the kids than activity days or secretary, less stress than any sort of leadership position, and yet I still get to be in primary, singing and moving with children as they learn the songs and hymns that will likely be…
