Embroidered ‘çevre’ (square kerchief; a decorative accessory) from Kozak Yaylası, near Bergama. Late-Ottoman style, first half of 20th century. A design of flowers and branches, embroidered in golden metallic thread and in ‘tel kırma’-technique (motives obtained by sticking narrow metallic strips through the fabric and folding them).
