Here the same way that Ophelia 'wears' faces and greek theatre masks is explored as in a previous post.   Another point is that Ophelia's madness could be related to Dissociative identity disorder, which adds to the reasons behind her suicide and madness. Back In the Shakespearean era Mental disorders weren't well known or explored so people who had one were perceived to be mad, this suggests that Ophelia could have been mad but was trying to get help but couldn't.
