Non Fiction Writing Checklist

With inspiration from an amazing kinder teacher at our school, I revamped our writing checklist, combining my old one with her new-to-me one...and here is the result: (I have them ready to print on quarter sheets of paper so students can use them to check their writing themselves.) I also made this to put on students' new writing folders as a nice reminder to KEEP working! :) Let me know what you think! xoxo a

Free The new core is heavy on writing. So this is a little non-fiction summary organizer I put together for my kiddos. I did it on one page and then after using with my firsties I realized some of them can't write all that small so I re-made it for a 2 pager that I print front to back. It seemed to work much better. My higher kids can use the 1 pager. They didn't seem to care either way. If you teach 2nd grade, the one pager would be great for your kiddos.

Hi bloggy friends! I can't believe it's been over a month since I last posted. When I started this blog, I really had intentions of posting more regularly. But I guess I'm not as on top of things as I'd like to be. Besides being swamped at school (like I'm sure all of you are too), I was super sick with pneumonia for awhile and still have bronchitis. Needless to say, I'm so ready for winter break so that I can get some extra rest and spend lots of time with my boys. Anyways, I was so excited…
