Traditional bridal (but also: general festive) urban costume from the province of Elazığ. Late-ottoman style, 1900-1950. The burning candles refer to a famous ritual wedding dance from this region (the ‘Çar Çıra’ or ‘Çayda Çıra’) that is now performed all over Turkey.
