Catherine, Princess of Wales on Instagram: "The Princess of Wales looked every inch like a Princess in @jennypackham ‘Elodie’ red gown last night at the annual Diplomatic Reception at Buckingham Palace. The $5,040 long sleeve dress is from the designer's Pre-Fall 2019 collection. It features a tonal floral bead & sequin motif throughout. The Princess donned the Lotus Flower/ Papyrus Tiara, which she complemented with the late Queen's diamond orbital earrings. Catherine debuted the tiara at her first Diplomatic Reception in December 2013. The tiara was originally owned by Queen Mother Elizabeth, who then passed on to her youngest daughter, Princess Margaret in 1959 who wore this often. Princess Margaret’s daughter-in-law, Serena Viscountess Linley, wore the tiara at her wedding. After Princess Margaret’s demise, the tiara came back to Queen Elizabeth’s possession. The Princess wore the Royal Victorian Order sash and badge, along with the Maltese Cross. The then Duchess of Cambridge was appointed Dame Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order in April 2019 by The Queen for services to the Sovereign. Catherine pinned her recently acquired @bentley_skinner Art Deco Diamond Set Brooch to the sash. She affixed the Royal Family Order of Queen Elizabeth II that she was awarded in 2017 on the left side of her dress. #PrincessOfWales #DuchessOfCambridge #DuchessOfCornwall #KateMiddleton #CatherineMiddletonbm #ootd #look #fashion #styles #outfit"
Royal Princess, Gowns Dresses
Catherine, Princess of Wales on Instagram: "For a pinnacle event of the royal visit to Boston, at the #earthshotboston2022 Prize Awards ceremony, the Princess of Wales opted for a vibrant green gown and complementary sparkles. In keeping with the sustainability theme, the Princess stepped out on the green carpet in a rented 'Sabina' dress by @solacelondon. The piece was reportedly borrowed from @hurr in London starting from £74. The 'Sabina' is a floor length modern gown featuring an off-the-shoulder neckline and a body-conscious fit. I’m certain that you would agree that the highlight of the princess’s look is the Queen Mary's Art Deco Emerald & Diamond Choker, which was famously worn by the late Princess Diana. The choker was created for Queen Mary in the Art Deco style by Garrard in 1921 from a gift of from the Ladies of India in 1911. The necklace was The necklace was bequeathed to the late Queen Elizabin 1953 but she did not prefer the shortened style. She passed it along to Princess Diana as a wedding present, and it became one of her signature pieces of jewellery. Upon her death, the chocker went back to the Queen’s possession. Catherine coordinated it with a new pair @aspreylondon Emerald and Diamond Halo Earrings mounted in platinum ($11,375). On her feet were her glittering silver @gianvitorossi 'Rania 105' Pumps. #PrincessOfWales #DuchessOfCambridge #DuchessOfCornwall #KateMiddleton #CatherineMiddleton #ootd #look #fashion #styles #outfit"
