Persian Illuminations (Tazhib) artwork by artist Sanaz Nasseri .................................................... Tazhib (gilding) is an Arabic word which has been derived from “zahab” meaning “gold”. Gilding currently means to draw beautiful patterns of plants or geometrical shapes on the margins of books.
