One of the most beautiful cities I have been to. I have been there 8 times in the last few years and I see no reason why I would not continue to visit the city in the future.

Istanbul, Turkey: The Aya Sophia was built at the direction of Emperor Justine in the 6th century and has served as both Greek Orthodox and Roman Catholic Church -- and for nearly 1000 years the largest in the world, until St Peter’s basilica was built. In 1453 the Ottoman Empire conquered Constantinople and renamed it Istanbul and at this point Süleyman the Magnificent transformed the then church into a mosque, added the minarets and changed the name to Aya Sofia. by MichaelLevy

İstanbul! In her timeline Pagan upto Byzantanian Then on, Ottoman to the times of modern Years of light She covers a distance Seven temples on hills of seven Brighten! She; the blue belle is the symbol of abundance Cos Everywhere you see the droplets of golden And the Sun reflects all heaven If you beleive her by heart Your destiny will be free to the last.(ENGNYD Lyrics)
