The manifesto of the Bauhaus Movement is what my group mate and I tried to reproduce on the background for the photoshoot in order to have a visual reference to such time period.

¤ Bauhaus Design Poster. This is an "inspired by" bauhaus poster. not genuine.

Funcional e feito de materiais usados em arquitectura moderna que possa ser produzido em massa , permanecendo atraente e confortável . O movimento estava preocupado não só com o projeto , mas também com os materiais. Futura – Originally designed in the 1920s and '30s, these unique faces were characterized by bold outline, streamlined forms, and a sense of stylized geometry. They feature a forceful, yet elegant look. Although most commonly known for its influence on architecture, advertising, interior design and fashion, Art Deco cast its spell of sleek modernity over typography with equal abandon.

In typography, Futura is a geometric sans-serif typeface designed in 1927 by Paul Renner

i love all the lines and shapes happening in this poster. the way how they are all overlapping and intersecting are the things that inspire me whenever i think about design. i also like the minimal but yet busy feel of this too.

In this poster the color scheme and shapes are representative of Bauhaus and create an architectural design within it. The lines and movement help one to see the underlying image and creates a good visual hierarchy.

Weimar Travel Guide

Poster for the Bauhaus Design Exposition, Print work was a large part of the Bauhaus. I would frame posters and hang them throughout the apartment. I like the typography and use of negative space in this design.

The Bauhaus school and style is still relevant to design today, not just because of its history, but because of its philosophy that the marriage of form and function is still the back bone of taste and sophistication.
