In 1953 Montgomery Clift was a member of an outstanding ensemble cast who had filmed 'From Here to Eternity,' a fictional tale of the weeks preceding Pearl Harbor's attack. Burt Lancaster recalls the only time he was afraid of an actor was in a shooting his first scene with Clift. He also said of Clift, "He had so much power, so much concentration.
