style of the more usual English silver filigree thimbles of the late 18th or early 19th century. This one was cast and pierced to simulate the wirework examples but is made of Pinchbeck or gilded metal/brass. It's a tall thimble (35 mm high) and about an American size 6 (opening is 13.75 mm in diameter).
Cute doll.. the link provided for this pattern is incorrect! Granted this pattern isn't in English, but anyone with basic/intermediate sewing skills should be able to make this. At least the #'s are English so you know how many to cut of each piece.
