This mural depicts life in Michoacan, Mexico in pre-Hispanic times. The mural aims to show some of the advanced methods used within this culture, including fishing and agricultural methods, cloth dying and map drawing. The elaborately dressed and tattooed figure holds up a beautiful codex. The 3 pictures at the bottom show (from left to right) cloth dying; ceramicists and sculptors; and tattooing.
