Peranakan Handmade Beaded Shoe, Malaysia: Handmade beaded closed-toe calf leather shoes, traditionally worn by the Nyonya, Malacca women of Chinese descent. The International 2012 Panel of Experts commended the fine hand-sewn beadwork and neat finishing of the shoes, which represents the Peranakan (Chinese Malay) culture very well.
