I will always love this moment from The Nightly Show. I can't even imagine what it must've been like as a gay person the night of and the morning after the Supreme Court struck down the remaining bans on same sex marriage. How jubilant and ecstatic and so overwhelmingly happy they must've been.

Ken Paxton's urging that county clerks wait to issue licenses, Dallas County began issuing licenses to same-sex couples. Many of these couples have waited a very long time to finally have the right to wed. Including one Dallas couple, in particular.

In a dark and horrible abyss of vitriolic homophobia and hatred, 15-year-old Michigan teenager Corey Nichols was incredibly lucky to survive and found a bright light. His parents didn’t just hate gays, they were violently anti-gay. He got drunk, got sick and eventually became delirious and suicidal. His parents ignored him because gay. After chatting to his friend, her mother saw the messages, rescued him and nursed him back to health. His best friend’s parents eventually adopted him. LOVE WON.
