This is a nice Tudor silver groat of Philip and Mary, minted in London between 1554 - 1558. It is in circulated condition, with a clear portrait of Mary. The obverse legend is PHILIP Z MARIA D G REX Z REGINA (Philip and Mary by the Grace of God King and Queen) crowned bust of Mary facing left. The reverse legend reads POSUIMUS DEUM ADIVTO NOS – (We have made God our helper).
