Making a balloon canopy worked out way better for me than the balloon avalanche I previously pinned. Just tape two garbage bags to the ceiling and tuck the ends into the door. The birthday boy/girl is showered with balloons when they open it.

DIY Balloon Surprise - I did this for my grandkids - not Helium balloons but reg. and filled them with money and small gifts - mailed it to them and they loved it! Big box arriving filled with fun as they opened it and then as the balloons were busted new surprises. I borrowed this from a friends sister...great idea!
