Queen Carola of Saxony (1833-1907) was born Carola of Vasa, a princess of Sweden. She was the great-granddaughter of the French Empress Josephine, consort of Napoleon. Princess Carola became a Roman Catholic and the wife of King Albert I of Saxony. They had no children but a very happy marriage.
