illuminated manuscript contains One hundred sayings, known in Arabic as Mi’at kalimah and in Persian as Ṣad kalimah, attribted to of ʿAlī ibn Abī Ṭālib, the fourth caliph of Islam, as well as a Persian paraphrase (dubayt) by Rashīd al-Dīn Muḥammad al-Balkhī, known as al-Waṭwāṭ (Vaṭvāṭ) (d. ca. 578 AH / 1182 CE).

The surahs (chapters) in this Koran are written in a combination of six lines of naskh in a text panel, with a line of thuluth above and below and surah headings in kufic set apart in illuminated panels. Surat 67 Mulk (The Kingdom): Short lyrical sura (chapter) of only 30 short ayat .This one can be compared to the Prophet David's Psalms (songs) of the Christian New Testament. 23rd verse: "It is God who has created you, and made for you the faculties of hearing, seeing, feeling, & understanding. Little thanks it is ye give."  Ottoman Qur'an signed by Ali Shukri Efendi, Turkey, Galata, 19th century.(A Shabbas)

With gilded bordering and floral form verse markers throughout, its first double pages are adorned with scrawling floral and foliage designs in green, blue and red.
