The grey parrot (Psittacus erithacus), also known as the Congo grey parrot, Congo African grey parrot or African grey parrot, is an Old World parrot in the family Psittacidae. The Timneh parrot (Psittacus timneh) once was identified as a subspecies of the grey parrot, but has since been elevated to a full species.

African grey parrots are famous for their intelligence and vocabulary. Not only can they mimic human speech, but they can also learn to answer questions, express affection and use things like deductive reasoning. Some studies say that their intelligence is equivalent to a kindergartner!

Cats and dogs are awesome, no doubt. But I think there is something really special about a baby African Grey that comes with a 60+ year commitment. <3
