We want baby to get in most of their calories during the daytime, so they don’t have to eat throughout the night and make up for any missed calories. So, what is ‘witching hour’? It usually occurs some time between 5-11pm and can last minutes to hours. Simply put, it’s a period of time where your baby gets notably fussier and more difficult to soothe. I did not experience witching hour with my firstborn, but did experience it with my twin girls. 

It’s common for it to begin between around weeks 2 and 3, peak at week 6, then fade before or around 3 months.
