This beef stir fry, inspired by Korean Bibimbap, is a mixture of sesame fried vegetables, beef, kimchi, rice and a fried egg.

Bibimbap is a Korean Rice Bowl with lots of assorted vegetables, marinated beef, a fried egg and an incredible spicy Bibimbap sauce.

Korean bibimbap recipe - is a mixture of rice with meat and varied sauteed vegetable, all drizzled with gochuzang based bibimap sauce, topped with runny egg and sesame seeds. In one word it is all goodness in one bowl.

Bibimbap or Dolsot bibimbap is one of my favourite comfort foods to meal prep: all the side dishes take about an hour to prepare at the beginning of the week, but then you can have Dolsot Bibimbap for dinner for a week in about 10 minutes! It's a great way to use up leftover Korean side dishes (banchan), and you can pack everything together for lunch (dosirak style) to have as an easy, portable room temperature lunch.

The key here is the Bibimbap Sauce - feel free to switch the veg and meat, whatever you use is going to be amazing once mixed up with that Sauce. There's a lot of components here but there's repeat ingredients and it's an easy recipe - and it's MEANT to be served at room temp so don't rush!

Vegan Bibimbap! 🥢 A personal favourite of mine when dining out a Korean restaurants is a dolsot bibimbap (bibimbap cooked in a stone bowl) but also love preparing it at home since it’s great for meal prep and you can easily just mix everything together with gochujang 👌🏻 This bibimbap has sautéed zucchini, mushrooms, spinach, carrot, beansprout salad (kongnamul), and homemade vegan kimchi with some gochujang of course.
