Book cards ideas

Followed sketch for inspiration. Took a pre-printed DP and tore down the middle. Sponged Distress Oxide Vintage Photo on torn edge and around the outside. Adhered to Kraft card base. Stamped and colored image with Copics and fussy cut. Popped up with foam tape. Stamped and sponged sentiment and also popped up with foam. Added enamel dots in similar colors as the book image. Will give this to my niece who loves to read.

These cards were commissioned by a friend who wanted "Thank You" note cards to send to members of her book club. These are 4 variations on the same "Bookcase" stamp from Hero Arts. It always fascinates me how you can use the same basis or paper for a card, use it in different ways and get very different looks.

This is the second card I've made this weekend with this stamp set - In A Book (D2049 from Close to My Heart). This one used only the stamp set - nothing extra! And no surgery on any of the images. But I did use a bit of paper piecing to get a more realistic look to the lady's shirt. Some intricate cutting, but worth the effort for the look it gives.
