Shell Butterflies

Purple Coquinas Shells turned into butterfly shell art - I lucked out and on a beach trip the beach was loaded with in tacked shells. I bought a plain matte to fit a frame with depth. I took acid free stamper's ink to sponge the background and then glued on the shells. Lesson for you is to always pick up shells that are in excess on the beach. Those similar shells are the base of many projects. Also, a jar of sand with a perfect shell is also great for a memory.
