The most common Thai words and phrases to know before your visit! Here's some basic Thai words that every Thailand traveler should know.

Asking questions is a great way to learn. As much as people say, there is always something more that you want to know - I certainly find myself thinking that.

As a foreigner learning any new languages, one of the most common words we want to learn first is how to say “Hello”. In Thai, สวัสดี “Sà-wàt-dee” is well-known as general greeting for “hello” when meeting someone and also when we want to say goodbye. But not many people know the origins of this word or doesn’t even know it has a meaning at all, more than just “hello”.
