Joining blanket squares knitting

Here’s a great new way to join your knitted squares.This technique of using two double pointed needles to join two knitted squares is one of my favorites. It creates an i-cord that sits right between the two knitted squares making them look very finished. With this method it’s easy to use a contrasting yarn as a design element. If you are familiar with a crochet hook then this would be a great way for you to join your knitted squares. It’s fast and easy and you don’t have to cut a length of yarn before starting. You just pull up loops on either side of your work and away you go! In this video I show you how to make a zigzag pattern by going back-and-forth with your crochet hook, pulling up a loop on each side.
