a quilt made to look like video game characters

Anita made this really cool Minecraft quilt sampler for her son. Can you figure out what each block is? Me neither! There's a pig, chicken, sword, axe, dynamite, a yeti, a zombie, health potion, a happy guy, a dirt/grass block. One that kind of looks like Winnie the Pooh. A googly-eyed snowman perhaps?? Some bad guys?? I barely understand the basics of the game, my 9yo plays it once in a great while. Or watches other people play it on Youtube. I guess that's fun... I get why the object of…

the legend of zelda cross stitch pattern

This is a Minecraft Quilt Layout that I pulled together after looking at various different sites for the characters and elements. Each of the 12 Squares would be put together using 64 - 2.5" squares to create each individual character. The blocks should finish at 16.5". The first black border would be cut at 2.5" and finish at 2" and the final green border would be cut at 4.5" and finish at 4". Overall the quilt will roughly measure 60" x 78". I've included a name for each block for…

a quilted tree is shown on a wooden floor with wood planks and a blue sky in the background

Twin sized bed quilt for my 13 year old son based on his favourite computer game: Minecraft! Made from Kona cotton solids. Ikea sheet for backing. Completed September 2011. My son had the idea to stitch three buttons, red, yellow and green, on the upper left corner of the grey binding (which he asked me to make wider at the top) to resemble a window on his Mac computer. I will do that soon! And label the quilt, too.

It’s easy to think that there’s no good left in this world. Maybe you’ve had a rough week at work, a serious argument with your partner, or just had enough of the rudeness and cruelty of others. Whatever the reason, we all need a little pick-me-up now and then to remind ourselves that it’s not all bad.

I've never made a quilt before, but thought I would give it a try. I will get right to the point. It gets on my nerves when I go to read a blog post for a recipe or crochet pattern and there is so much babbling before getting to the point. I never read through it on other blogs, so I won't do it here! :) My son loves to play the video game, Minecraft. This is what a Creeper looks like in the game. My supplies. You'll see how I like bargains. Rotary cutter, acrylic guide/ruler, cutting mat…
