Today is my last subway shot from Moscow. It is on the way out. Every station I visited had at least 3 escalators, and one was always stopped. I imagine that they run all three during the week when it is busy, but not during the weekends I guess. This one at Komsomolskaya was actually one of the shorter escalators and still is more than minute long ride. The longest escalator in Europe in in a different station - Park Pobedy - which takes more than 3 minutes to ride (and I didn't take it…

This was the first station I visited. Kievskaya on the Moscow Metro. Planned to be the second, but unfortunately the one I had planned for 1st was shut down due to a bombing a couple of years back... I was there two weeks after the bombing in the Moscow airport, so I figured it was probably a good call that the station was closed. When I got here I realized that getting shots without people was going to be tough so my best bet was waiting for at least my immediate foreground to open up…
