Partner Reading: In partner reading, a stronger, fluent reader can be paired with a weaker, less fluent reader to model fluent reading. The stronger reader can read a passage aloud, modeling fluent reading for the weaker reader. Following this, the weaker reader can read aloud and seek feedback from their partner. This can be done back and forth. Partner reading encourages collaboration as well as peer-assisted learning (Reading Rockets, 2018).
