The Fred W. Symmes Chapel was constructed in 1941. The chapel is an open air chapel built on top of Standing Stone Mountain in South Carolina. It is know as Pretty Place by the locals.. The view is breathtaking. The chapel was given to the YMCA Camp Greenville by Mr. Symmes. I made 7 trips to Pretty Place before I finally got a clear view of the valley.
