Queer living room

The funny thing about coming out at the beginning of a pandemic is that you and everyone you love are in quarantine. When I came out as bisexual, it was April 2020, and by June that year, Pride month wasn’t exactly a time for celebration. Despite the lack of hugs or pats on the back, I was missing more than physical affection and affirmation for my new identity. I wanted to invite people into my life, specifically into my home.

The spaces that inspire me and bring me joy, and hopefully you, too. With an eclectic, hygge, boho, maximalist style, I hope my home will move you to create a safe haven

Been ages since I did a transformation Tuesday post so here we go! My sofa area now vs march 25 last year. What a difference a year can make eh? 🥹 The green on the wall is S3030-G80Y Won't tell you where the sofa is from because the quality is so bad. Before I came out as trans, my only design aesthetic was a futon mattress on the ground and a simple shelf in the closet for my clothes. Because I couldn’t imagine an authentic way to exist in my body, I don’t think I could imagine, let alone create, an affirming physical space to live in.
