Anthracnose is an important disease of strawberry that can affect foliage, runners, crowns and fruit. The disease is caused by several species of fungi in the genus Colletotrichum: Colletotrichum acutatum, Colletotrichum fragariae, and Colletotrichum gloesporoides.
