The sacrifice of the Rose

The Witcher 3 fanart inspired by my favourite quest "family matters", also known as the bloody baron's quest. Ladies of the Wood are three witches who live in a cabin in the swamps of Velen, to whom the peasants make blood sacrifices for the well-being of all Velen.

Druidic sacrifice

Invictus, also known as the Demogorgon, is the son of Zeus and Metis who is prophesied to bring about the Gigantomachy and thus ending the Olympian age. Invictus was forewarned by Gaia to Zeus in regards to him bearing a son that will become more powerful than him. Zeus, in fear of suffering the same fate as his father Cronus, effectively devoured Metis to prevent such a thing from occurring. Despite Zeus' efforts and his meddling with fate because of his libido acts, the prophecy came true…
